With any and all of your pregnancy[s]. Which methods did you like best? What were the pros and Con's and how did you manage it naturally. Has anyone used a cervical block where they inject medication into the cervix? What do they do to numb it if you need to do an episiotomy? Thank you.

At first I was on morphine. Horrid, would never suggest it to anyone! I couldn’t stop throwing up!!
Then they finally gave me the epidural. It was heaven. Until the contractions started picking up in time and intensity. They didn’t up my dose in the epidural dept… so I was pretty much sleeping for 2 minutes and then awake for 1 huffing and puffing and crying. I was shaking uncontrollably too.
BUT, would I do it again? Yes! I would give birth 500x over just to hold a bundle of cute squishy babyness that I’ve been carrying around for 9 months!
Oh, I did get an episiotomy. 4 stitches. The epidural numbed the pain, but I did get an injection of soemthing extra when they were stitching me up.
i hadnt taken my childbirth ed classes yet so we were unprepared and didnt know squat.i got the piticin and epideral but i have hired a doula for this second birth here in a few weeks and am hoping to go natural. there are alot of risks that put you at risk for a c section if you even get ONE intervention. watch ‘the business of being born’ great great show
I used the breathing technique which actually REALLY helped.. it took me a while to get the hang of it though.. I had to go through a lot of contractions until I learned how to breath through them.. though eventually that was not enough so I went on Fentanyl via IV and sat in a tub and poured water on my stomach during the contraction.. that felt VERY NICE.. and then when that wasn’t doing it for me anymore I asked for an epidural.. and then I no longer had any pain. I was an induced labor though so I think these are more painful.. and also my baby had to be born via forceps and I teared badly.. so THANK GOD I had an epidural or else they tend to do emergency epidurals for forceps anyways.. so anyways it all worked out and I don’t regret anything.
