I have a friend who has one and swears it eases his back pain. Something about maintaining his "chi".

Nothing. Some of the conditions which they’re purported to heal simply disappear by themselves. It’s a shame, because anything we can get to help our aches and pains would be welcome. But magnetic therapy didn’t work in the 1800′s, and it doesn’t work now.

They are suppose to ease joint pain etc..but all they ever did for me is turn my arm green.

Magnets supposedly promote healthy circulation by dilating your capillaries. They are also supposed to help with chronic pain, ie magnetic bracelet for carpal tunnel syndrome, necklace for stress related shoulder and neck pain.
