Watches – what is better, titanium or stainless steel?

I am about to buy a watch, and have narrowed it done to 2 that are very similar, one has a titanium band (bracelet), the other is stainless steel. The stainless steel looks better.
Which is more scratch resistant? Is the difference that significant? Anything else I should know?
Thanks!

They look pretty much the same but the titanium is lighter and more resistant to damage.
