I have osteoarthritis in my neck, lower back, wrists and ankles. I take prescription anti inflamitories and muscle relaxers in order to go to work. I work 10 hrs a day on my feet constantly moving, stretching and bending. While this movement is good for my arthritis, it can get really painful by the end of the day. I feel like I am up a creek without a paddle most of the time, especially after a 3 day workout. Then I just totally crash. I am tired of waking up with swollen hands, having a crick in my back and limping for a while after sitting down for 30 minutes.

had a motorcycle accident last April - fractured wrist/leg/etc....developed premature arthritis from muscle tissue healing around fractures from accident and impact to body - my body has been working overtime using other parts to compensate for disabled parts - diagnoised with 40% loss of function in hand/wrist, since then, pain has been unbearable at times. Working with docs on pain meds - now on Naproxen twice a day and Percocet twice a day - it's working, but personally i'm concerned because it's the only way to function - would this be considered an addiction???? or a lifelong pain management step in a better direction. Without any meds, I can't move, stiff, sore, cry in pain - I'm 38 yrs old, was extremely active before the accident, work full time, one daughter, one husband, 3 acres of land to care for - full time all around care giver. Any suggestions or alternatives? or stick to what works for now????
went through intensive physical therapy, no improvement, have a counselor to handle the emotional strain. Saw a chiropractor (lots of smoke and mirrors for me - pain intensified after a few visits)

I had a serious wreck 10yrs ago and fractured my hip in several places and had to have major surgery. The doctor told me that I would be more suceptable to arthritis. I am now 32 and have been having for the last few yrs or so pain in my arms and legs but only at night when I am trying to sleep. Could this be the onset of arthritis? What are the signs? Thanks!

I take 200 mg Celebrex every day for arthritis. My RN friend says she takes Mobic 15 mg and it is the only arthritis medicine her hospital prescribes since it is safer and works better than Celebrex. I want to know why it is safer and what, if any, are the side effects?

If you find that your health is seriously affected by arthritis or by cancer you need to act fast in order to inhibit further progression of the disease. In either case, the sooner you act in regard to taking medications or preventive actions the easier it becomes to control and combat the problem.
In the case of a cancer problem one of the best foods that can help in inhibiting the disease, Agaricus Brazil mushroom has been found to be very effective. No less a personality than former US President Ronald Reagan when battling against cancer found that these mushrooms provided him with the best defense against his cancerous condition.
If you are suffering from any kind of arthritis you will probably come across numerous arthritis remedies that can help ease the suffering. However, if you are not careful about picking only tried and tested remedies you could very well find that your efforts will go in vain because if you make use of untested remedies you won't get any suitable results and all your time money and effort will be wasted.
However, for a person that has been diagnosed with leg arthritis there is a strong case for having their blood tested in order to find out if certain gene markers are present in the blood. The pain from this form of arthritis can often be unnerving which is why it pays to find out how you can lessen the pain. One option that is worth trying out is taking of anti-inflammatory medicines that with a few specific exercises can provide a lot of relief.
You can also get relief from pain caused by arthritis of the leg by applying ice to the areas affected which will help to reduce inflammation and also lessen the soreness. You must however ask your doctor about which method of treatment is best for your particular condition and problem.
Doctors will of course need to get some answers from you including to questions such as the duration for which you have been suffering from this condition and also whether the pain occurs on a constant basis or is it more intermittent. After you answer these questions the doctor will make an assessment and diagnose your condition and then recommend the best treatment.
You may also need to inform the doctor whether you are prone to feeling pain after having sat for a long time and also when does the pain become intolerable.
