How do I manage hock arthritis in my horse?

The horse that I just bought has a little hock arthritis in both of his back hocks. He is an 8 year old Dutch warmblood gelding and does around 3rd/4th level stuff. Is there anything that I can do to help the situation stay stable or get better? Thanks!
