carpal tunnel syndrome bracelet?
My mom has carpal tunnel syndrome. She is in constant pain in both her hands - numbness especially. She refuses to have the surgery (which i cant blame her, seeing what they do + it almost always comes back anyways) and quit sewing, painting or making crafts.
My question is for anyone with experience in this subject - have you found a bracelet like magnetic or copper or ? that have worked for you? Please advise which bracelet would work for carpal tunnel syndrome or that has worked for you. My complete appreciation for your help!

I found this…

I have no idea if it works unfortunately…but it looked interesting at least…
Have you tried looking into physical therapy specific to Carpal Tunnel Syndrome?
I am a musician (pianist) and music-related hand injuries are very common in pianists, percussionists, etc…basically in anything where the person is doing the same repetitive movements (usually with poor habits). Although I have never had serious hand injury such as CTS or Tendonitis, I was experiencing some pain at a point when I was practicing difficult repertoire for a number of hours a day. I went and saw a specialist who works specifically with music/arts related injuries. Doctors such as these usually ask to see exactly what you do (they watched me play piano) to see what specific motions are causing the problem…in my case I was consistently moving my wrists in an awkward position that constricts the tendons. Luckily I was able to correct the problem b4 serious injury. It is much harder to recover from an injury than prevent it of course…but from what I have heard it is not impossible (and can be done without surgery in many instances). It requires A LOT of patience though and willingness to re-learn the techniques that you know. Your mom would have to be willing to re-learn how to sew/paint, etc in a way that promotes relaxation and prper hand motion to limit the strain on her joints. She would also have to be willing to severely cut down the amount of time she does these things at least in the beginning…it’s a gradual process but from what I understand it is not impossible…a close friend of mine, another pianist, did serious nerve damage to her wrists from excessive practice with improper piano technique (to the point where she couldn’t open doors or lift anything)…she spent a year and a half re-learning from square one, the proper way to play – it was very rigorous and miserable for her…but it worked…she gradually worked up the amt of time she could play and the difficulty of her music until her new technique was solidified and now she can play hour long recitals and she is totally fine. She always has to watch though to make sure that she doesn’t lapse back into old habits, though.
I think you and your mom should research these things in your area…both a physical therapist for the arts/hand related injuries…and also for books or people who could teach your mom a better way of doing the things she loves.
