arthritis???

what's going on? My knees get very red and hot to touch out of nowhere there's no pain accompanied by this other than me knowing my knees are hot b/c i can feel the heat.. anyway this is the only place i get it at. it happens out of nowhere and im not doing anything strenuous.. what could it be?? someone said gout but i'm a female and its not in my big toe.. any help please!!! what would have caused this im only 22.

Arthritis can attack you at any age. You need to see your doctor while it is "active." They will do appropriate labs on you, check your inflammation level, etc. Depending on the results, you may be sent to a specialist, a rheumatologist, who can give you medication to help, but don’t "self-medicate" til you are sure.
You can go to the Dollar Store and get "Cool Gel," or a pharmacy and get Aspercreme, for temporary relief.
